IMI was featured on Welt der Wunder, one of Germany's most respected science and innovation platforms. The video shows the company's factory in Erwitte, Germany, introduces the engineers behind the products and explains how they help buildings perform better.

Why it matters

Buildings account for nearly 40% of global energy use, and heating and cooling are the largest contributors. How we heat and cool buildings affects both comfort and the environment.

The sustainability figures

  • 54.3% of waste went straight back into production in 2024.
  • 98.9% of all waste is recycled in some form, including energy recovery.
  • Brass components contain more than 90% recycled material across all raw material variants used. Some alloys, such as gunmetal, come close to 100%.
  • IMI publishes Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) on the life-cycle impact of its products and holds an EcoVadis rating.
