TA-SCOPE is the electronic measuring and balancing instrument from Tour & Andersson (IMI TA) for balancing and diagnosing hydronic heating and cooling systems. It stands out for its ease of use and the possibilities it gives the user.
What it measures
- Differential pressure at the measuring points of balancing valves.
- Flow, calculated from the differential pressure and the valve data.
- Temperature, and from it the thermal power.
Why it matters
An unbalanced system gives too much flow to the nearby branches and too little to the distant ones. The result is rooms that don't get warm or cool enough and pumps that work harder than needed. With TA-SCOPE the technician measures, sets each valve to the design value and documents the result.
It is used with all TA balancing valves, such as STAD and STAF.
