In large buildings such as hotels, hospitals and offices, drinking water often stands still in unused pipes, while cold water warms up next to hot pipes. These are exactly the conditions that favour bacteria such as Legionella. The Kemper Hygiene System (KHS) tackles the problem at its source.

Ring installation instead of series installation

Instead of feeding the outlets one after another, KHS connects them in a ring. The patented KHS Venturi flow divider needs no power and no maintenance. It makes water circulate through the whole ring every time a tap is opened.

The results according to Kemper

  • Up to 100 times more daily water exchange in wet rooms.
  • Pipe temperature up to 5 K lower than with series installation.
  • About 3 m³ less water per wet room per year.
  • 70% lower operating costs.

System components

  • KHS flushing units (PRO, PURE and LITE versions) that automatically renew water where there is no use.
  • Venturi flow divider, system controls and flushing group.
  • KHS CoolFlow: a regulating valve and cold-water cooler that keep cold water at 15–25 °C, with payback in under 2 years.
