Comfort in a building is no longer only about temperature. Designers and installers have to control three variables: temperature, relative humidity and indoor air quality (IAQ). Perry Electric's new Thygro range answers this need, bridging the hydronic system and the electrical automation.

Thermostat and humidistat in one

In underfloor or ceiling cooling systems, humidity control is not optional: without dew-point monitoring, the risk of surface condensation in summer is very high. The Thygro unit combines a thermostat and a humidistat in one compact device with a 3″ touch screen, so one control point replaces two or more sensors. With independent switching thresholds it controls boilers, heat pumps, air conditioners and dehumidifiers.

  • Battery: 3 V, with 2 AA batteries, wall-mounted or on a desk stand.
  • 230 V: for flush mounting in standard back boxes.

Thygro Pure: air quality too

We spend more than 90% of our time indoors, where pollutant levels can be up to five times higher than outside. The Thygro Pure version also has a built-in VOC (volatile organic compound) sensor for gases, fumes, cleaning products and emissions from breathing. It shows the status on the display (e.g. "Good") and can switch mechanical ventilation systems or extract fans. Air is renewed only when and as much as needed, without wasting the building's thermal energy.
